Buckingham Associates specialises in real estate finance, property development consultancy and financial consultancy predominantly (not exclusively) in the real estate sector.
Buckingham Associates offers its clients, property developers, landlords, property investors and Gibraltar based entrepreneurs financial accounting solutions.
Established in Gibraltar in 2023, Buckingham Associates has continued the work of its predecessor, MN Associates Limited, which was acknowledged and respected as a trusted and reliable source of advice, with a proven track record of sourcing finance and providing accounting and payroll services for a number of property related businesses in Gibraltar.
Buckingham Associates is a related party of Buckingham Properties (Gibraltar) Limited trading as Chestertons Estate Agents and a related party of the registered business name Buckingham Corporate Services (with the support of Athena Ventures Limited), which provided regulatory, tax and administrative services for Chestertons’ corporate clients to enable an all-encompassing service to property developers and investors in Gibraltar.

Buckingham Associates and its predecessor, MN Associates, were established by Mike Nicholls FCA, Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
Mike qualified with KPMG in London in 1991. After a series of senior roles, he moved to Gibraltar in 2002 to take up the post of Finance Director of the Ocean Village Group of companies, a new project for Gibraltar. Mike was there from the outset to completion of the first and second phases of the hugely successful development in 2009.
Utilising his experience gained in the Gibraltar marketplace, Mike went on to establish both MN Associates and Chestertons Gibraltar estate agency, which has rapidly grown to become the largest and the best (European Property Awards, Best Estate Agent in Gibraltar 2022-23, 2019-20, 2018-19 and 2017-18). Mike then established Buckingham Associates Limited as part of a group restructure in 2023.
Mike remains as a director of Buckingham Associates, Chestertons and a director of a number of local companies.
Buckingham Associates works closely with most Gibraltar based property developers and all Gibraltar based banks and lawyers, whilst priding itself on its independence and professionalism. The company has no affiliation, common ownership or shared directorship with any property developer or firm of lawyers in Gibraltar.
As well as Mike, Buckingham Associates employs two staff and two additional independent consultants.
